An “Interior Designer” has formal training and schooling that includes the study of drawing, space-planning, color, fabric training as well as furniture design and architecture – This is Allen Jancik, Interior Designer. You could not find a more complete package. He is knowledgeable in all of these areas and more. His work is his resume. He has proven his capabilities repeatedly on projects that seemed impossible, only to be brought to reality. Allen has worked tirelessly on many projects for me over 11 years and I am still amazed by the knowledge he possesses. There is no project he won’t tackle and the results are outstanding. He can design and renovate projects from scratch to the last detail. His expertise also includes just changing decor, whether it is deciding on a style, choosing paint colors, furniture, lighting fixtures or any other accessories for your home.

Allen really has two professions – He is an excellent Interior Designer as well as an excellent Interior Decorator. My home, as well as, many other projects are a reflection of a true Interior Designer that I would be happy to show in order to demonstrate Allen’s passion and expertise.

Allen has exceptional abilities in interior design and has been involved in my projects since 2005. Allen is most adept at understanding and clarifying his clients’ vision and bringing it to life – he has the ability to plan and execute the vision on a timeline inside a given budget.

I admit I have an unusual situation, my family kept photos and objects so long, that now they are historical. His ability to identify what the objects are, their place of origin, and their relative time frame amazes me. His interpretation of those historical and familial objects makes obsolete artifacts contemporary. I love being surrounded by things my family has collected. We rotate them twice a year, and we are always excited to see new presentations, where he seamlessly combines our family’s heirlooms… and a few new pieces to reflect our continuing story.

Allen most recently provided the lighting, décor, and floral design work for my daughter’s wedding in 2015 at our home in Bryan, Texas. We all knew that the plans we made together would come to life in a beautiful way, but his personal touch and consideration of all the wishes of my daughter, came together to provide a most extraordinary event.

I have had the pleasure of working with Alan on a couple of projects in our historic 1923 home. I love working with Alan — he is so creative and knowledgeable and has lots of good solutions and ideas. Our most recent project was remodeling our kitchen. He was great about getting my input and making sure I was happy with the decisions we made. I would highly recommend Alan for any design projects.

Allen had a difficult task in helping us with both our home decorating and outdoor living space planning. Having come from very humble and conservative Midwestern roots without much knowledge of decorating or design, he not only needed to help us find our ‘look’, but had to educate us in how design comes together. He was incredibly patient; and was careful to not impart his own taste, but to help draw out of us what we really loved, what brought joy, what worked for our lifestyle.

Allen worked hard to find unique pieces to bring life into our space, while fitting in things we have owned forever – which really made our house into a home. Even several years later, we have not tired of a single item or piece of furniture we choose together. We also really appreciated how he worked within our budget and helped us make choices for quality indoor and outdoor furnishings that would stand up to the test of an active family.

Allen not only has the knowledge of design theory and a great eye for detail; he is one of the most creative people we have ever met. Allen’s ideas for displaying our treasured family heirlooms never fail to catch the eye of visitors to our home. He knows how to take the simplest of things…and make it just beautiful.

I have worked with Allen several times on projects for my home and have always been more than pleased with his work.
